How do you make a 3ware 8xxx series pci sata raid card make arrays bigger than 2TB?

you don't, you make multiple 2TB arrays, then software raid0 them.

i'm just jboding all 4 disks and software raid0ing two pairs of 'em. it seems stupid to use this card as nothing more than a pci sata interface.
